Major Responsibilities:

The Product Success Specialist will support definition of steps for complex or non-standard product-based projects, primarily for IDeaS largest or most strategic clients, including but not limited to, new installations or IDeaS solution transitions while helping to improve the quality and design of future software releases.

For this role, you will have the opportunity to…

• Take ownership of complex escalations from large or strategic clients and sees them through to resolution, including actively correcting running queries or updating parameters etc. as required and managing internal and/ or external coordination of resolution steps.
• Support definition of steps for complex or non-standard projects, primarily for IDeaS largest or most strategic clients, including but not limited to, new installations or IDeaS solution transitions; hotels splitting out of a client code/ instance, data recoding projects or mass update requests.
• Tackle cases and tasks being escalated to IDeaS’ Quality Assurance team, resolving them to internal and external satisfaction and devising processes that could be handed over to our core support teams for regular execution.
• Manage internal and external expectations and project pressures including coordinating/managing problem escalation activities and communications.
• Keeps current on IDeaS products and supporting tools (e.g. DataDog, Mongo Studio T3 etc.).
• Participate in the product lifecycle with other teams, including Research and Development, to improve the quality and design of future software releases and influence product direction based on software knowledge, and customer feedback. Acts as an advocate for the customer.
• Perform other duties, as assigned.

 Do you qualify? You must have…

• A minimum 5 years’ experience in the below:
• Building analytical skills (data analysis of core hotel revenue performance and/ or raw data e.g. reservation, group, and summary data)
• Reviewing or supporting integration or data-related support cases in a business intelligence or preferably hospitality technology organization
• Working with, writing, and updating SQL queries
• Working with Support and Software Development teams on support escalations and defect management processes
• Solutioning new projects, understanding data flow through a multi-tenant SaaS application and accounting for complexities to ensure new problems identified can be solved end-to-end
• Excellent written and oral communication skills

Preferences for this role include… 

• Familiarity reviewing and understanding Java code.
• Exposure to multi-tier web application deployment/architecture and supporting tools/ monitoring applications
• Good exposure to JSON and XML integration messages in hospitality, particularly OXI and HTNG standard messages
• Experience working with SQL-less databases (e.g. Mongo)

• Work is typically performed in an office environment, using simple, easy muscular movements, involving only the handling of light materials, tools, or equipment in easy work positions, and with no special speed requirements or long stretches of exertion.
• Vision requirements for this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus.
• Ability to Travel 20%
