IDeaS’ Internship Program provides students with real world experiences working on high visibility projects and challenging assignments. Our program facilitates opportunities to explore their field of study and make connections. Interns are a valuable part of our team – they do a lot of important work here, and occasionally have some fun.

 

As an Internal Communications Intern on the Communications team, you will get a broad look at both the internal and external communications at a fast-paced, grow-oriented technology organization that supports the global hospitality, travel, and entertainment industries. From day one, you will be an integral part of the communications team and given the opportunity to apply your skills to gain hands-on experience working on various projects from communications strategy to writing for our most visible communications channels. You also will have an opportunity to connect with IDeaS employees and interns globally as you collaborate and build relationships. The environment is team-oriented, fast-paced, and hands-on. We look for people who want to grow, support, think, and produce.

 

Ideally, our intern will be available to work up to 10 - 15 hours during the school year (beginning January 2022) with the possibility of continuing on in a 40 hours per week position during the summer.
Please note, candidates selected for an interview will be asked to provide writing samples.

 

What you’ll be doing...
• Developing interviewing, writing and research skills for a variety of communication channels including video, intranet, email, internal social platforms and more
• Delving into web, email and social platform metrics in order to make informed decisions about content creation and material delivery timelines
• Gaining exposure to a variety of communication technology platforms and tools unique to communications/marketing at IDeaS

 

What you’ll bring to us…
• Current enrollment in an accredited degree program majoring in marketing, communications, journalism, public relations or related degree (Sophomore status or higher)
• Minimum 3.0 GPA (in major)
• Basic understanding and curiosity about communications principles, tools, and channels
• Ability to meet tight deadlines
• Good interpersonal skills and ability to work on a project team
• Interest in enhancing proven writing and editing skills
• Must have good skills in MS Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
