The Contracts Negotiation Specialist assists in the negotiation and processing of software and service agreements and other business transactions arising from the licensing or sale of company products or services for its divisions and subsidiaries as assigned. Assists in the development of strategic, non-standard licensing and pricing proposals. Exercises sound business judgment in evaluating and developing solutions to client problems.
For this role, you will have the opportunity to…
⦁ Draft, negotiate and process new and existing software, services and other sales-based contracts with external clients, suppliers and vendors from deal initiation through execution
⦁ Negotiate complex and non-standard terms in software and service agreements.
⦁ Engage in strategic planning and advisory support for negotiations, non-standard pricing and business requirements for strategic, multinational, and nonstandard agreements
⦁ Engage in analysis, formulation and use of non-standard pricing models and offerings.
⦁ Formulate business terms and strategies to bring about strategic relationships with company clients.
⦁ Maintain knowledge of finance and legal best practices, IDeaS’ pricing and licensing policies, IDeaS products, internal systems and applications, services, and practices to ensure contract language is technically feasible, consistent with IDeaS’ goals and practices, operationally cost-justified, and legally acceptable.
⦁ Assist in analyzing nonstandard customer licensing and purchasing documents and identify licensing, financial, business, and operational issues that are not consistent with current company policies or procedures.
⦁ Help resolve legal, licensing, business, or operational issues by appropriately involving company attorneys and management.
⦁ Keep abreast of industry-specific trends and understand how company products and services are positioned in the marketplace.
Do you qualify? You must have …
⦁ Bachelor’s degree in business or related field
⦁ 5+ years’ experience drafting, negotiating and processing contracts with a minimum of 2 years with supplier-side software-as-a-service(SaaS)/subscription-based contracts
⦁ Legal certification (law degree/ paralegal)
⦁ Experience processing contracts through Salesforce.com
⦁ Solid understanding of basic principles of contract law and administration
⦁ Flexibility to meet needs and timelines of global clients operating in various time zones
⦁ Excellent written and oral communication and interpersonal skills
⦁ Excellent time management, and organizational skills
⦁ Ability to manage a heavy workload in a multi-task environment within specified deadlines with minimal supervision
⦁ Exceptional attention to detail
