The IDeaS.Lab team leads this effort through continuous innovation to develop new solutions together with our internal teams, clients & partners.

 

The Technical Architect, Emerging Products will report directly into the Senior Director, Emerging Products and will work on the technical delivery and execution of identified business opportunities within the IDeaS.Lab department. Analyzes all information gathered during the Discovery and Proof of Concept (POC) stages to provide technical requirements and, working collaboratively with internal and external departments, to translate the product vision into a detailed technical solution proposal.

 

What you’ll be doing... 

  • Provides technical expertise in gathering technical architecture and data requirements from potential technology and industry partners.
  • Understands softweare technical architecture and infrastructure for the purpose of conceptualizing new products and how they could work with existing products
  • Once requirements have been collected, works closely with the Business Analyst to create Business Requirements Document (BRD) that describes the products business and technical requirements for the potential development of a Minimum Viable Product (MVP)
  • Produces associated deliverables such as, User Stories, Use Cases, Requirements Traceability Matrix (RTMs), Workflow Diagrams.
  • Facilitates building of business rules, data definitions, and other business metadata and translates these into technical specifications.
  • Delivers standard and/or customized demonstrations and presentations outlining the technical features, architecture, and integration possibilities of the IDeaS software & analytics as they apply to client needs.
  • Builds a trusted relationship with both internal and external teams to provide guidance for technical aspects of potential solutions.
  • May conduct Proof of Concept (POC) implementations to prove functional capabilities, including on-site support as required.
  • May perform advanced or complex prototyping for IDeaS technologies.

 What you’ll bring to us… 

  • Bachelor's degree, preferably in Business, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field. Equivalent combination of education, training, and relevant experience will be considered in place of the requirements
  • Requires extensive experience in systems engineering, technical architecture, applications development or similar.
  • Demonstrated capability in complex technical implementations.
  • Ability to communicate with people with various technical backgrounds, think analytically, write, and edit technical material.
  • Good knowledge of common technical environment technologies
  • Must have thorough knowledge of industry standards, methodologies, various technologies, innovative architecture, and resources.
  • Should have clear understanding of data warehousing concepts and best practices
  • Good problem solving, organizational, decision-making written, oral, and interpersonal skills.
  • Able to work handle uncertainty and operate in a fluid and flexible work context with shifting priorities and goals.
