Work in collaboration with IDeaS Sales teams and IDeaS Account Management teams to provide pre-sales support in relation to the successful selling and installation of IDeaS solutions. Utilize knowledge of industry or industry segment process and challenges, provides pre-sales discovery and consulting services including customer discovery and solution design. Prepares and performs product demonstrations and for current and prospective customers.
What you’ll be doing...
- Provides pre-sales technical support to customers.
- Works with sales staff to outline appropriate solutions and leverage sales opportunities.
- Develops proposals and conducts demonstrations and presentations to customers and prospects.
- Provides reliable delivery of targeted project results through role as expert in the application of specific IDeaS methodologies, projects, and technologies.
- Shows IDeaS solutions and any required supporting products for knowledge sharing and demonstration purposes as assigned.
- Understands, utilizes and communicates best practice methodologies and industry standards internally and externally.
- Co-operates with account management in developing account strategies, assessment of account needs and critical sales issues to ensure account satisfaction.
- Provides support at marketing events, trade shows and user group meetings.
- Participates in technical presentations to customers and prospects, compiling training documents and writing technical reports.
- Leverages detailed technical knowledge to support sales opportunities and implementations across solution domains.
- Applies advanced knowledge of IDeaS products and solutions in sales opportunities
- Utilizes IDeaS strategic selling techniques and in-depth domain/industry knowledge with account executive to strategize on prospects and develop strategic sales objectives
- Effectively works as lead of team for complex sales involving multiple skill sets
- Serves as a lead technical resource, counseling staff on technical issues and technical prototype development.
- Maintains in-depth knowledge of product positioning, pricing, proposals, and models
- Able to host a user-group meeting, corporate training or seminar
- May serve as subject matter expert on projects
- Knowledge sharing to internal staff
What you’ll bring to us…
- BS or BA in Business, Computer Science, or other quantitative field related to area of assignment or equivalent experience.
- Professional certification related to area of assignment may be required.
- 8+ years of progressive experience in technical sales, technical support, consulting or related area of expertise, including five years of related development or implementation project experience, and specific industry experience. Public speaking experience required.
- In-depth knowledge of industry or market segments or detailed knowledge of a specific area of industry expertise
- Specialized in specific technical area such as data management, system integration, business intelligence and/or ETL
- Excellent communication skills and presentation skills
- Excellent knowledge of IDeaS products, peripheral technologies and implementation best practices
- Superior problem solving, organization, decision-marketing skills
- Demonstration strong project leadership and resource management skills
- Ability to relate technical concepts to IDeaS applications and user needs
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team; ability to travel on a frequent basis.
