Hours: Monday – Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm

Summary of Duties: Integrated Decisions and Systems, Inc. – IDeaS seeks a Senior Financial Analyst in Bloomington, Minnesota. IDeaS is a 100% wholly-owned subsidiary of SAS Institute, Inc. Founded in 1989, IDeaS is the premier provider of enterprise revenue management and optimization solutions.

Partner with the functional leaders to develop, interpret and implement financial and pricing concepts. Use background in hospitality applications (common and proprietary) to understand IDeaS fit in the market in order use pricing and market analysis to lead the implementation of pricing for IDeaS’ products, integrations, services and solutions in order to optimize profits and meet sales, marketing, financial and corporate growth objectives. Participate in the business planning process for new and emerging initiatives. Work with Sales, Product Marketing, Product Management, and other internal departments to develop pricing and packaging strategies. Partner with the Strategic Alliances and 3rd party Integration partners to bundle pricing for full solution. Research, analyze, and track competitor pricing and market trends and recommend tactical and strategic pricing, and packaging actions. Consolidate information from multiple sources into recommendations, reports, presentations, and communication messages to set pricing strategies that align with local market and industry demands. Drive the business planning process for new and emerging products and initiatives to assist in the identification of pricing, and packaging needs. Perform economic research and studies in the areas of rates of return, working capital requirements, investment opportunities, investment performance and impact of governmental requirements on hospitality industry and our product line. Review and analyze financial statements and reports. Prepare periodic financial forecasts. Develop and maintain pricing models and pricing performance metrics for products, integrations, services and solutions. Gather, analyze, prepare, and summarize recommendations for financial plans, trend future requirements and operating forecasts. Prepare pricing and revenue impact forecasts. Research questions from key internal stakeholders regarding financial data. Provide financial support to the business; act as a liaison between Finance and the business. Present complex information with business solutions to non-research audiences including executive level management. May work remotely pursuant to company’s flexible work program.

Qualifications: Position requires a Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Human Resource Management, or related field plus twelve (12) years of experience in the job offered, Account Management, Revenue Manager, International Pricing Analyst, Yield Analyst, Operations Manager, or related occupation. Alternatively, the employer will accept a Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Human Resource Management, or related field plus ten (10) years of experience in the job offered, Account Management, Revenue Manager, International Pricing Analyst, Yield Analyst, Operations Manager, or related occupation.

Requires professional finance and accounting experience. Requires hospitality experience working with access to a diverse data set and systems commonly implemented within hoteliers. Requires working knowledge in the use of data analysis tools, the application of research methodology, and data collection methods. Requires understanding of the enterprise hospitality software solutions. Requires ability to analyze and synthesize large quantities of disparate information and communicate recommended outcomes and business impact. Requires ability to make formal presentations to all levels of management. Requires ability to determine what analysis is needed on financial and performance data and direct it to its conclusion. Requires knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles. Requires strong business acumen and understanding of financial principles as a basis to support business and investment decisions.
